Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, concerns, prayers. The smoke has cleared from the air here in San Diego. We can walk outside without smelling it. When I flew to New Mexico on Thursday, the entire city was blanketed in smoke, and we were able to look out the window and see the flames. Flying back to town this afternoon, the air was clearer and I was able to see miles of charred mountains. I'm one of the fortunate ones who still has a home to return to. My heart goes out to all those who lost their homes and animals in the fires.
